This is why I left Anheuser-Busch...

When I decided to leave AB InBev couple of months ago, everybody asked me the logical question of "why?". Here is why:

According to Jacksonville Business Journal's news, Anheuser-Busch InBev sold it's can and lid plants to Ball Corporation for $577 million. These plants were operated by AB InBev’s can making subsidiary, Metal Container Corp. (MCC). The sold plants were located in Gainesville, FL; Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin; Columbus, Ohio; and Rome, Georgia. All of these plants are more focused on soft drink can production.

Broomfield, Colorado based Ball has committed to offer employment to the 635 active employees of the plants. Ball also agreed to continue on supplying A-B InBev with cans and lids from the divested plants.

According to AB InBev there are no plans or activities to sell the remaining plants at this point.
