TSA Secure Flight Program


The US Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) is in the process of implementing the Secure Flight Program. This program transfers the responsibility for pre-departure passenger watch list matching from the airlines to the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

As of Aug 15, 2009, travelers will need to provide the following data when booking airlines flights that operate within the US:

Full name (as shown on the government issued ID used when traveling)
Date of birth
Gender
Redress number (if applicable) - You will only have a redress number if you are seeking resolution to a previous TSA screening problem.
